The 2026/2027 school year for Deana Sain and the Hardeman County STEM Center is already in full gear with new possibilities of learning and fun. On Thursday, September 10, 2026, the Center received PocketLab equipment purchased with funds from the Society for Science Grant. The $5,000 award helps educators purchase specialized equipment for student learning. The new equipment includes the PocketLab Voyager to 10-Pack and the G-Force bundle.
“These will enable our students to visualize motion, measure acceleration, and analyze forces in real time,” said Ms. Sain. “We were busy making electromagnets and magnetic slime! We will start using the PocketLab resources next month with all the schools to enable our students to explore physics through hands-on experiments and data analysis.”
