It is not too often you come across a person running in the St. Jude Marathon Memphis Weekend without a personal reason for participating. Autumn Taylor is no different and the run will not be just another race. In a year full of setting personal goals and reaching milestones in her life, Autumn is looking forward to the challenge the weekend will bring.
Reaching a Personal Milestone
“This has been a year of major physical improvement for myself, and this will be a huge milestone for me as well as very rewarding while also supporting a great cause,” said Autumn, who noted the purpose of the race also resonates with her. “I’ve experienced what it’s like to have my baby in the hospital, and because of that, I deeply appreciate what St. Jude does for families.”

Autumn just started running this year after joining a women’s run/walk club in March. This will be the first year she has run in the St. Jude Marathon Memphis Weekend and plans to take on the half marathon, which is 13.1 miles. She will not be running alone, which will make the experience even more enjoyable.
Running with a Friend
“My friend Kali [Foreman] signed up and told me she’d like for me to run it with her and despite being very nervous at first, I said I’d do it,” said Autumn who shared her training routine. “I am training with a minimum of two runs a week at increasing distances up until race day.”

The St. Jude Marathon Memphis Weekend will be here on Saturday, December 5, 2026, and Autumn will be ready.

“I’m feeling pretty confident and excited! Running with a buddy makes these things so much more fun and exciting and I’m proud of how far we’ve come in our training,” said Autumn.
