The Hardeman Adoptable Animals held its annual March of Dogs on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The theme this year was Red, White & Rescue with a request that all wear their patriotic best. Colonel Neal Certain USAF, Retired and FedEx Pilot, Retired was the grand marshal.
Dogs and their owners gathered at the old Fred’s parking lot in Bolivar and lined up to begin the march to Bolivar Courthouse Square where the pet costume contest would later be held. The weather was perfect for a mid-fall Saturday walk.
Everyone was on their best behavior, even the dog owners, as they walked along Market Street. The almost one mile walk was long enough to get good exercise and short enough to not tire anyone out leaving energy once they were done on the march.
The Hardeman Adoptable Animals March of Dogs Parade & Pet Costume Contest was held in conjunction with the Bolivar BBQ Blowout & Music Festival.
