The countdown to the November 3 election day will be here soon and Hardeman County is set and ready to go. On September 30, the scanners, Duo machines, and printers for all 12 precincts were set and tested. The process, overseen by Casey Hayden with Harp Enterprises, an election services company based in Kentucky, involved several steps and took a couple of hours to complete.

Early voting begins on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, and continues through Wednesday, October 29, 2026. People wanting to vote before Election Day will have about two weeks to do so and can cast their ballot at the Hardeman County Election Commission.

Hayden described the process that was followed to set the machines.

“[We] set the the database on these machines. We tested test ballots through it. We printed off results, to make sure everything looked good. Then we cleared it all back out and printed our zero tapes, and now it’s ready for Election Day,” said Hayden.

Early voting is October 14 – 29, 2029. The hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Hardeman County Election Commission { 227 Lucy Black Road, Bolivar, 38008 }.

On Election Day, people will need to vote at their assigned precinct. Call (731) 658-4751 for more information.
