TDOT Road Construction in Hardeman and Fayette Counties: September 16 – 23

The Tennessee Department of Transportation is completing roadwork in Hardeman County and Fayette County from September 16 – 23, 2026. The work may cause delays for citizens. Check the construction schedule before hitting the road.

Hardeman County

SR100 from near SR18 to near Firetower Road
The resurfacing on SR100 from near SR18 to near Firetower Road will cause temporary lane closures in both directions. One lane will remain open at all times. Motorists should watch for the crew and equipment in the roadway.

SR57 from the Fayette County line to Saulsbury Road
The resurfacing on SR 57 from the Fayette County line to Saulsbury Road will cause temporary lane closures in both directions. One lane will remain open at all times. Motorists should watch for the crew and equipment in the roadway.

SR125 between SR18 and the Chester County line
Monday, September 14 through Friday, September 18, 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.: SR125 in Hardeman County will have temporary intermittent full closures between SR18 and the Chester County line for cross drain replacements. A detour will be posted, and message boards will provide adequate warning of the closures.

Fayette County

I-40 Westbound from MM31.5 to MM29.5
Wednesday, September 16, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.:  There will be a right lane closure at night on I-40 in Fayette County westbound between MM31.5 to MM29.5 to attach ITS Conduit under the bridge.

I-269 (SR-385) from near SR-86 (U.S. 72) to SR-193 (Macon Road):
Nightly, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.: There will be intermittent lane closures for resurfacing operations. At least one lane will remain open in both directions at all times.

SR-15 (U.S. 64) from near Tomlin Road to near Woodbridge Road:
Daily: There will be temporary lane closures on east and westbound SR-15 from near Tomlin Road to near Woodbridge Road to perform resurfacing work. At least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times.
