The City of Bolivar is gearing up for another year of travel and events with its Timeless Treasures program, which was created for senior adults in the community. Timeless Treasures provides opportunities for senior adults to take excursions across the State of Tennessee and surrounding states, meet and socialize with others, and grow from educational experiences.

Bolivar Community Development and Tourism Director Dylan Hill shared his vision for the program, which includes all seniors and not just residents of Bolivar.

“Bolivar’s Timeless Treasures is dedicated to fostering a vibrant and welcoming community where senior adults can connect, stay active, and enjoy meaningful experiences together,” said Mr. Hill, who hopes participants find community with each other.

Some of the places seniors have visited through the Timeless Treasures program include visits to the Casey Jones Village in Jackson; a visit to Shiloh National Military Park; and a fish fry in Paris. Lunch and Learn meetings have been held featuring topics of interests to senior adults. This year, Timeless Treasures has in-state and out-of-state adventures planned as well as learning experiences to keep them informed.
