The Hardeman County Country Club held its President’s Cup Championship on Saturday and Sunday, September 12 -13, 2026, with Team Daniel coming out on top. The weekend tournament included the top players from previously held events throughout the year. From those events, the top 16 players were invited to compete in this special event.
“The President’s Cup is team style tournament that we have each year. The name alternates between Ryder Cup and President’s Cup like the Professional Golfers Association (PGA). This tournament works as an incentive for members to participate in our other tournaments including the Club Championship and the Summer Match Play tournament,” said club manager Dylan Hill. “This year, 38 members participated in our events.”
There were two teams with captains who were determined by the winners of the previously held tournaments this year. The Red Team was led by Carson Daniel and the Blue Team was led by Jordan Stack.
Proving golf is a sport that can be enjoyed with your family, Team Stack included three generations of Stacks with Curtis, his son, Jordan, and grandson, Decker. Team Daniel consisted of a father and two sons with Kevin and his sons, Carson and Connor.
“The teams competed in four competitions, which were the Scramble, Best Ball, Alternating Shot, and Singles Match Play,” said Hill. “The event actually came out to a tie and had to be decided by a playoff hole by the captains.”
The next golf event that will be held at the Country Club is a 6 Man Scramble, which will be on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The event is open to members and non-members and space is limited. You may call the pro shop at (731) 212-3241 to learn how to participate as well as about the golf opportunities at the Country Club.
