Bolivar Native Jaron Lockridge Brings House for the Broken to Streaming

[tpm_video]

House for the Broken (HFTB) is the first official project from Jaron Lockridge, a writer and filmmaker from Bolivar, Tennessee, through his production company Cinema Ministry. Since its premiere in July 2026, HFTB has become available on several streaming platforms, which has allowed Lockridge’s vision of presenting faith-based media to reach viewers in larger numbers.

In 2025, Jaron shifted the direction his projects were taking and formed Cinema Ministry Productions with his wife, Amber, to focus on the production of faith-based content. That decision was one that followed after a lot of prayer and faith in what God wanted him to now do with his gift of storytelling.

Lockridge has made movies professionally since 2015 and started Misguided Perceptions Media Group (MPMG) in 2016. Through that company, Lockridge produced several successful projects, which included feature films and streaming series. Always remembering his roots, Jaron often sought extras from Bolivar to be featured in his projects. The last production under MPMG was Cards and Cognac, which was released November 2025.

Many of the viewers that supported Lockridge in his previous projects have followed him as he begins his new venture of using cinema art form to produce work that reflects his Christian values. He has also attracted a new audience seeking the same in what they watch on the screen.

House for the Broken Synopsis: A grounded, character-driven drama that follows Pastor JJ Childs and his church as they walk alongside people facing real-life struggles —grief, abuse, addiction, and loss—while confronting their own imperfections.

Hardeman County native Ebony Taylor, who was recently named Director of The Carnegie Center of Jackson, has a lead role as Latoya Childs, the wife of Pastor JJ Childs, in the series. Although Taylor is acting as Latoya, she has kinship as being a pastor’s wife, which she is in real life.

House for the Broken is now available online to stream on Amazon Prime Video, Roku, and Tubi Movies. You can binge watch all eight episodes of season one or space them out, long enough until Lockridge completes his next Cinema Ministry Productions project.
